Strides Riding Camp
A summer spent in the saddle, and learning everything that comes with it.
For children who love horses, Riding Camp at Strides brings that interest into everyday camp life. Campers take part in daily riding lessons, learn hands-on horse care, and spend the week making friends at our Petaluma ranch in Sonoma County.
Our program welcomes beginners and intermediate riders, with riding groups organized by age and experience.

What campers will experience
Daily riding lessons
Small-group lessons give campers time in the saddle with instruction suited to their experience. Beginners work on the basics, while intermediate riders continue developing their skills.
Hands-on horsemanship
The experience goes beyond riding. Campers learn about grooming, horse care, and how to interact thoughtfully with horses.
Games, crafts, and camp friendships
Mounted games, outdoor activities, and creative projects bring variety to the week, with plenty of opportunities to get to know fellow campers.
A horse camp for beginners and returning riders
Your child does not need previous riding experience to join. Riding Camp offers a place to start, ask questions, and get familiar with horses. Children who have ridden before can continue learning alongside campers with similar experience.
